31 Weeks

Two years ago, Matt received this tent for his birthday... with high hopes that we would become frequent campers. We found Florida's season's don't allow for many good times to camp due to warm weather... and the lack of mountains has it's disadvantages. The tent was used in the mountains by Matt and his friends on a men's weekend...
but this was our first initiation of the tent in Florida.

We figure in a few months being spontaneous and camping won't be quite as easy.

My belly looks non-existent in this sweatshirt, but boy was it tough to get comfy on the ground of the tent to sleep (*should have brought the body pillow*). Regardless of the lack of ground cushion and frequent trips to the bathroom (*bushes*) through the night, we had a fun time camping at Jetty Park. We "roughed" it in a tent, but the majority of the Park was for RV's. What a culture we got to experience.
The benefits of camping in Florida= the beach across the street...
+ Manatees hanging out at the dock, drinking fresh water from a hose!
It was so cool to seem them up close and get to touch them! They had very tough/rough skin, tiny holes for eyes, interesting bristles/bone in their mouths, and they kinda stunk from algae growing on their backs.. still very very cool.
They are HUGE, even the baby one we saw!
